Because we are using bamboo for our material I thought it would be nice to use Earth colours for the colour pallet. I am planning to use only 2 or 3 colours for the infographic though.

getting ready to laser cut our first final tomorrow!
we’re doubling up on the base and body brackets to make the whole structure more stable, we will sandwhich and timber glue these togther.
have also cut down the amount of ‘buttons’ that run along the seam of the lamp - we now have just three.
only cutting one interior ring tomorrow as we already have another from a previous prototype that we can use.

and the lid will be cut in a seperate file :)
After designing a logo from our Nz motif pattern we have decided not to use our patterns for our logo but instead we wanted to describe our lamp’s characteristic using our logo.
I have started off as making a simple logo from the letter ‘M’ (standing for mahi=making)
and then because this logos on top looked like a clothing company label I have developed more.
The last logo that I have created represents ‘simple’ but ‘fun’ aspect of our lamp. The circle is made out of the letter ‘M’ and it somehow looks like an open hand when It is in semi circle form so It relates to the name mahi-mahi (making-making)
I will have to ask what Fin has used for to make arduino with but except that I am planning to create this illustration to visual elements.
